"Worth the Risk? Communicating Cleaning Product Benefits in a
Post-Anthrax World"
In the wake of public health scares related to anthrax and other potential chemical weapons, cleaning product manufacturers may be in a position to communicate product benefits related to accident prevention, preparation, or remediation. But how do you make sure you don't cross the line into exploitation? And are companies prepared to communicate about their
products in times of crisis?
Bob Howard, who spent two decades as a crisis and risk communicator for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, will shed light for SDA members on successfully preparing and executing communication strategies in a post-anthrax world. Howard will kickoff a special speakers session on Wednesday, October 2 at 8 a.m. during SDA's Fall Meeting, Hilton Arlington and Towers, Arlington, VA.
Howard currently serves as Senior Vice President of Key3 Media Events, an organizer of BioSecurity 2002, an international forum for individuals and organizations preparing to deal with the threat of bioterrorism. The conference will be held November 18-21, 2002 at the MGM Grand Conference Center in Las Vegas, NV. For more information, log on to www.biosecuritysummit.com.
