Cleaning Product, Oleochemical Industries To Get Down to Business at 2006 SDA Convention

The Soap and Detergent Association (SDA) will host its 80 th Annual Meeting & Industry Convention at the Boca Raton Resort & Club in Boca Raton, Florida. Online registration is now available at SDA’s website, www.cleaning101.com.

Keynote speakers will include ABC News and NPR analyst Cokie Roberts and political commentator Tony Blankley, Editorial Page Editor of The Washington Times and panelist on TV’s McLaughlin Group.

The Convention will also feature the unveiling of a “History of Soaps, Detergents, and SDA” Exhibit and Commemorative Book, which will serve as an official kick-off for activities celebrating SDA's 80th Anniversary .

“The cleaning product and oleochemical industries get down to business every year at the SDA Convention,” said Ernie Rosenberg, SDA President and CEO. “At the 2006 Convention, we will celebrate the positive contributions of our member companies to improved public health over the years. And we will highlight ongoing activities that showcase SDA’s Statement of Purpose: Enhancing health and the quality of life through cleaning products and practices.”

The SDA Convention will also expand the industry’s most comprehensive information exchange on domestic and international activities. SDA’s Issues Briefing, featuring updates from SDA’s senior staff, will now take place on Tuesday morning of Convention Week. An expanded Global Industry Update – featuring briefings from international association executives – will be held on Wednesday morning, February 1.
